- 4 c. sliced carrots
- 1/2 c. water
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 2 Tbsp. oleo
- 1 c. milk
- 2 Tbsp. flour
- 1 c. grated American cheese
- 1 can French fried onions
Directions

1Cook carrots in salt water until tender; drain.

2Melt oleo; stir in flour and add milk gradually.

3Cook at medium heat until thick.

4Add cheese and stir until blended.

5Put 1/2 carrots in 1 1/2-quart casserole; cover with onions and repeat.

6Save 1/2 onions.

7Pour sauce over carrots.

8Bake 15 minutes at 350°; add remaining onions.

9Bake 5 minutes longer.
