- 1 small onion, minced
- 1/4 c. flour
- 1 tsp. salt
- 3 c. buttered fresh bread crumbs
- 1/4 tsp. dry mustard
- 2 c. milk
- 1/8 tsp. pepper
- 1/4 tsp. celery salt
- 1/2 lb. Cheddar cheese
- 12 sliced carrots
Directions

1Cook carrots; drain.

2Cook onions in butter.

3Add flour, salt, mustard and milk.

4Stir until thickened and smooth.

5Add salt and pepper.

6In a 2-quart casserole, arrange layers of carrots and cheese ending with carrots.

7Pour sauce over all.

9Bake at 350° until golden brown, 35 to 40 minutes.
