- 1/4 c. butter or margarine
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 2 Tbsp. minced green pepper
- 1 Tbsp. minced onion
- 2 Tbsp. flour
- 1 c. milk
- 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 1 1/2 c. flaked, cooked or canned fish
- 1/3 c. grated Cheddar cheese
Directions

1Melt butter in a saucepan over very low heat.

2Add salt, pepper and onion; cook for 1 minute or so, until tender.

3Stir in the flour, then stir the milk in slowly, cooking until smooth and slightly thickened.

4Add the Worcestershire sauce and cook again until thick.

5Check the seasoning.

6Grease a 1-quart casserole or individual baking dishes.

7Arrange alternate layers of fish and sauce.

8Top with the cheese mixed with crumbs.

9Bake at 400° for about 20 minutes, or until bubbly and browned.
