  • 1 pt. standard oysters with liquid
  • 2 to 3 c. coarsely crushed crackers
  • 1/2 c. or 1 stick margarine or butter
  • 1 to 2 c. milk
  • salt and pepper

Directions

    Grease a 1-quart casserole dish.

    Alternate layers of oysters, crackers and dots of margarine, ending with a layer of crumbs. Add milk until liquid almost reaches top of casserole.

    Dot with remaining margarine.

    Bake at 350° until brown, about 45 to 60 minutes.
