- 1 (6 oz.) bag cornbread stuffing
- 1/2 c. melted butter or margarine
- 1 large onion, finely chopped
- 1 clove garlic, chopped
- 6 large tomatoes, thinly sliced
- salt
Directions

1Pour stuffing into bowl.

2In a skillet, heat butter and saute onion and garlic until golden.

3Pour mixture with pan drippings into stuffing.

4Stir until blended.

5Layer tomatoes and stuffing in a shallow 2-quart casserole dish, ending with a layer of stuffing.

6Sprinkle each layer of tomatoes with salt (lightly). Bake in a preheated 350° oven for 35 to 40 minutes or until brown and crusty on top.
