- 2 apples
- 1 sliced smoked ham (1 lb.)
- 1 (12 oz.) can apple juice
- 1 c. Bisquick
- 1/2 c. milk

1Quarter 2 washed, unpared apples and core them.

2Thinly slice each quarter.

3In large, hot skillet, brown ham about 2 minutes per side.

4Remove to cutting board.

5Add apples and apple juice to skillet; simmer, covered, 5 minutes.

6Cut ham into 1 1/2-inch squares.

7Prepare 1 cup Bisquick mix as label directs for dumplings, using 1/2 cup milk.

8Stir ham into apple mixture.

9Drop dough by heaping tablespoonfuls on top.

10Sprinkle with 1/4 cup brown sugar.

11Cover and cook over medium heat for 10 minutes, or until dumplings are cooked through.
