- 1 lb. real butter (room temperature)
- 1 c. sugar
- 4 c. flour
Directions

1Cream butter until fluffy.

2Add sugar and beat again until fluffy.

3Gradually add flour until dough is soft and smooth.

4Pat dough in jelly roll pan or 10 x 15-inch baking pan.

5Bake in preheated oven at 300° for 1 hour or until golden.

6Remove from oven and cut in squares.

7Sprinkle with granulated sugar, if desired.

8Let cool in pan and store in airtight container.

9Makes about 36 squares.

10Do not use oleo.
