- 2 c. water
- 1 c. cold water
- 1 c. cornmeal
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 lb. bulk sausage
Directions

1Bring 2 cups of water to boil.

2Mix cold water, cornmeal and salt together.

3Add slowly to boiling water.

4Bring to boil; cover immediately.

5Simmer for 10 minutes.

6Meanwhile, crumble and fry sausage; drain off fat.

7Add cooked sausage to cornmeal mixture. Put in loaf pan and refrigerate for several hours.

8When ready to use, slice, roll in flour and cook in oil until golden brown. Serve immediately with butter and syrup or jelly.
