  • 1/4 tsp. nutmeg (1 Kings 10:10)
  • 1 tsp. vanilla (2 Chronicles 9:9)
  • 1/2 c. sugar (Jeremiah 6:20)
  • 2 c. flour (1 Kings 4:22)
  • 1/2 c. milk (Judges 26:19)
  • 1/2 c. figs (Nahum 3:12)
  • 1/2 c. raisins (1 Samuel 30:12)

Directions

    Cream the butter and sugar; beat until light.

    Add egg yolks, one at a time.

    Add honey, milk, flour, spices and baking powder. Beat until well mixed.

    Add figs, raisins and nuts.

    Fold in stiffly beaten egg whites.

    Bake at 350° for 1 hour or until done. Do not overbake.
