- 1/2 c. butter or margarine
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1/3 c. packed brown sugar
- 2 Tbsp. water
- 1 c. sifted self-rising flour
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1/2 c. chopped nuts
- 1/2 c. shredded coconut
- 1 (6 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate chips
Directions

1Preheat oven to 350°.

2Grease a 9-inch square baking pan; set aside.

3Melt butter.

4Add sugars and water; blend well.

5Stir in flour.

6Add egg and vanilla; blend thoroughly.

7Add nuts, coconut and chocolate chips; blend well.

8Pour into prepared pan.

9Bake 30 minutes.

10Cool in pan.

11Cut into bars.

12Makes 16 bars.
