Ingredients

  • 2 c. sugar
  • 1/2 c. white corn syrup
  • 1/2 c. water
  • 2 beaten egg whites

Directions

    Boil first 3 ingredients until syrup cracks when dropped from teaspoon in cold water (about 262° on candy thermometer).

    Pour slowly into beaten egg whites and beat until desired firmness. You will have to beat the last with a spoon.

    Drop by spoonfuls on wax paper.
  4. 4
    Flavorings or nuts may be added during the final beating.
