- 1 (16 oz.) pkg. frozen cod, flounder or haddock fillets
- 2 Tbsp. vegetable oil
- 1 medium green pepper, cut in strips
- 1 small onion, sliced
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 stalk celery, sliced
- 1 (16 oz.) can stewed tomatoes
- 1 (8 oz.) bottle clam juice
- 1/4 tsp. basil
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/8 tsp. pepper
- 1 (10 oz.) can minced clams (undrained)
Directions

1Cut frozen fish into chunks; set aside.

2Combine oil, green pepper, celery, onion and garlic in skillet; cook until tender. Add fish, tomatoes, clam juice, basil, salt and pepper in large pot; cook until fish is tender (done when fish is flaky).

3Add clams and liquid; stir.

4Add remaining ingredients (green pepper, celery and onion).

5Cook for 1 hour.

6Serve with fresh baked bread.
