Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lb. box lasagna noodles
  • 2 cans frozen cream of shrimp soup
  • 2 c. or 2 cans crab meat or shrimp
  • 2 c. or 1 lb. cream-style cottage cheese
  • 1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
  • 1 c. onion, finely chopped
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tsp. basil
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 1 c. grated Cheddar cheese
  • 4 medium tomatoes or 2 cans, drained
  • 2 Tbsp. sugar

Directions

    Cook noodles as directed on box; set aside.

    Heat and mix the crab meat and additional shrimp.

    Mix cottage cheese and cream cheese.

    Add onion, egg, basil, salt and pepper.

    Place in greased 9 x 13-inch casserole.

    Layer half of the noodles and half of the cottage cheese mixture.

    Sprinkle with grated cheese, then shrimp mixture.

    Repeat, reserving grated cheese for topping.

    Top with peeled, sliced tomatoes and sprinkle with sugar.

    Add remaining cheese on top.

    Bake 1 hour, uncovered, at 350°.
