- 1 pkg. devil's food cake mix
- 1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
- 1/3 c. sugar
- 1 egg
- dash of salt
- 1 pkg. (6 oz.) chocolate chips
Directions

1Prepare cake mix and fill paper-lined muffin pans 2/3 full. Combine cream cheese and sugar until smooth.

2Add egg and salt, beating well.

3Stir in chocolate chips.

4Spoon 1 heaping teaspoonful into center of each cupcake.

5Bake at 350° for 25 minutes.

6Cool in pan 10 minutes, then cool on a wire rack.

7Makes 2 1/2 dozen, approximately.
