Self-Rising Cake

  • 2 1/4 c. self-rising flour
  • 1/2 c. shortening
  • 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla flavoring
  • 1 c. milk
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 1/2 c. sugar

Directions

    Sift flour and sugar together.

    Add shortening and a little over half of the milk to which the flavoring has been added.

    Beat for 2 minutes.

    Add rest of milk and 2 eggs; beat for 2 minutes. Put into greased pans; cook at 375° for 30 minutes, or until done.
