Sesame Seed Sticks

  • 3/4 c. butter or margarine
  • 2 c. all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 2 dashes cayenne pepper
  • ice water
  • 1 c. sesame seed

Directions

    Cut butter into flour combined with salt and cayenne pepper. Sprinkle ice water over dough and toss with fork until dough holds together as for pastry.

    Roll out on floured board to 1/8-inch thickness and cut into 1 x 3-inch strips.

    Place on ungreased baking sheet; sprinkle generously with sesame seed and bake at 325° for about 15 minutes.

    Before removing from pan and while still hot, sprinkle with a little salt.

    May be frozen.

    Yield: about 2 dozen sticks.
