- 1/4 cups Lite Soy Sauce (or You Can Use Tamari)
- 2 teaspoons Splenda No Calorie Sweetner (regular Or Brown Sugar Are Fine, Or Agave Nectar Or Honey)
- 1 Tablespoon Mirin (Rice Wine Vinegar Is Fine)
- 1/4 teaspoons Red Pepper Flakes
- 1 Tablespoon Pure Sesame Oil
- 1 block 14-oz. Size, Extra Firm Tofu, Cut Into Cubes
- 2 teaspoons Sesame Seeds
- 2 Tablespoons Vegetable Oil
- 1/2 cups Scallions, Chopped
- 1- 1/2 teaspoon Garlic, Minced
- 2- 1/2 teaspoons Ginger, Grated (you Can Use Less If Ginger Isn't Your Thing)
- 1- 1/2 cup Frozen Broccoli Florets, Thawed
- 2 teaspoons Garlic Chili Paste (Sambal Oelek Brand Or Similar)
- 2 Tablespoons Water
- 2 Tablespoons Tofu Marinade
- 4 cups Cooked Rice Or Your Favorite Starch, For Serving
- Optional Garnish: Chopped Scallion, Cilantro Or Sesame Seeds
Directions

1Start by whisking soy sauce, sugar (Splenda), mirin, red pepper flakes and sesame oil in a shallow dish.

2Add tofu cubes and stir to coat each piece.

3Cover and set aside for 20-30 minutes.

4In a dry pan over medium heat, add sesame seeds and heat until toasted and aromatic.

5Remove from heat, transfer to a large bowl and set aside.

6After tofu is done marinating, reserve 2 tablespoons of the marinade.

7Discard the rest and pat tofu dry.

8Heat 1 tablespoon of the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium high heat and add tofu in batches.

9Cook until browned on all sides.

10Then add the tofu into the bowl of sesame seeds, toss to coat and continue cooking remaining tofu until all is cooked and tossed with sesame seeds.

11Set aside.

12In the same pan, add the other 1 tablespoon of oil and heat.

13Add scallion, garlic and ginger and cook for 1-2 minutes.

14Next add the broccoli, chili paste and water.

15Cook 3-5 minutes until broccoli is warmed through.

16Add tofu back to the pan with the 2 tablespoons of reserved tofu marinade.

17Cook the entire dish for another 5-7 minutes.

18Serve immediately with brown rice or quinoa.

19Optional garnish: chopped scallion, cilantro or sesame seeds.
