Ingredients

  • 1 head lettuce, chopped
  • 1/2 c. chopped green pepper
  • 1/2 c. chopped onion
  • 1/2 c. chopped celery
  • 1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen green peas
  • 2 c. salad dressing
  • 2 Tbsp. sugar
  • 8 strips bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 4 oz. sharp Cheddar cheese

Directions

    Layer the first 5 ingredients in a 9 x 13-inch pan or dish. Mix sugar and salad dressing.

    Spread over top of layers.

    Sprinkle with cheese.

    Store in refrigerator for 24 hours.

    Crumble bacon over top before serving (bacon bits may be used).

    Makes 6 to 8 servings.
