  • 1 envelope instant tomato soup mix
  • 4 Tbsp. brown sugar, packed
  • 1/2 tsp. garlic salt
  • 1 c. fine crumbled corn flakes
  • 1 tsp. onion salt
  • 1 1/2 c. yellow cornmeal
  • 2 1/2 c. Bisquick
  • 1/2 c. fine dry bread crumbs, toasted
  • 2 tsp. peppermill ground peppers
  • 1 Tbsp. seasoned salt
  • 1 Tbsp. paprika
  • 2 Tbsp. cornstarch

    Mix all ingredients together well and store at room temperature.

    To use this version of coating mix, dip fryer pieces first into milk and then into bag filled with 2 cups of coating mixture.

    Place 2 inches apart on lightly oiled cookie tin and bake uncovered at 400° for 40 to 45 minutes.
