- 2 handfuls channa dal
- 2 med. onions, coarsely chopped
- 2 Tbsp. ginger/garlic paste
- 2 tsp. cayenne pepper
- 2 tsp. salt
- 1 small bunch cilantro
- 3 cloves
- 5 cardamom pods
- 1/2 tsp. shah zeera (caraway)
- 1-2 eggs
Directions

1Mix all of the ingredients and cook with water, 1 hour in pressure cooker or 2 hours on stovetop, over low heat.

2Grind in food processor and add 1-2 eggs.

3Make 2-inch balls; flatten into patties and pan-fry.
