Ingredients

  • 2 lbs. beef stew
  • 2 handfuls channa dal
  • 2 med. onions, coarsely chopped
  • 2 Tbsp. ginger/garlic paste
  • 2 tsp. cayenne pepper
  • 2 tsp. salt
  • 1 small bunch cilantro
  • 3 cloves
  • 5 cardamom pods
  • 1/2 tsp. shah zeera (caraway)
  • 1-2 eggs

Directions

    Mix all of the ingredients and cook with water, 1 hour in pressure cooker or 2 hours on stovetop, over low heat.

    Grind in food processor and add 1-2 eggs.

    Make 2-inch balls; flatten into patties and pan-fry.
