  • 8 Tbsp. cocoa
  • 1/2 c. cooking oil
  • 1 c. water
  • 2 c. flour
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 1/2 c. buttermilk
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 2 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 eggs
  • 6 Tbsp. milk
  • 1 box powdered sugar
  • 1 c. pecans

    Cake:

    Place 1 stick oleo, oil and water in a 1-quart saucepan and bring to a boil.

    Mix flour and sugar in large bowl and pour hot liquid over dry mixture.

    Add buttermilk, soda, 1 teaspoon vanilla, eggs and 4 tablespoons cocoa and mix well.

    Bake in 9 x 13 x 2-inch pan that is well-greased and floured for 20 minutes at 400°.
