Ingredients

  • 3 lb. lamb stew meat, cut in 1 1/2-inch cubes
  • 1/2 c. flour
  • 1 can beer
  • 3 c. water
  • 1 clove chopped garlic
  • dash of Tabasco
  • salt and pepper
  • 3 Tbsp. oil or fat
  • 1 can tomato sauce
  • 4 sliced carrots
  • 1/2 chopped onion
  • 1 Tbsp. basil
  • 4 potatoes, quartered

Directions

    Combine flour, meat, salt and pepper in plastic bag and shake to coat.

    Empty the flour and meat in large pot and brown slowly in hot fat, turning often.

    Add tomato sauce, garlic, water, onion, basil, beer, Tabasco, salt and pepper.

    Simmer for 1 more hour or until tender.
