  • 5 to 6 lb. stewing beef
  • 2 large onions
  • 2 or 3 stalks celery
  • 5 or 6 large potatoes
  • spices to taste: rosemary, garlic, fennel and sage
  • green peppers (optional)
  • cheese, grated (for topping)
  • 1 c. water (approximately)

Directions

    Cut beef into bite size pieces.

    Chop onions, green peppers and celery.

    Roll beef in flour, salt and pepper.

    Saute beef in frying pan until browned.
