Sherry Buttered Chicken

  • 1/2 c. bread crumbs
  • 1/4 c. Parmesan cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 2 Tbsp. water
  • 2 Tbsp. margarine
  • 3 Tbsp. sherry
  • 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 tsp. Dijon mustard
  • 1 lb. boneless skinless chicken breasts

    Pound chicken breasts until 1/4 inch thick.

    Mix egg and water, then mix crumbs and cheese.

    Dip chicken in egg mixture, then crumb mixture.

    Place single layer in ovenproof dish.

    In small saucepan cook margarine, sherry, garlic powder, Worcestershire sauce and Dijon mustard to boil; pour over chicken. Broil in 500° oven for 5 to 7 minutes.
