  • 4 c. flour
  • 1 box light brown sugar
  • 2 sticks butter
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 2 c. boiling water
  • 1 c. Karo syrup
  • 2 tsp. baking soda

Directions

    Mix the flour, brown sugar, butter and salt; save 1 cup for crumbs.

    Mix water, Karo and soda together; add to flour mixture. Sprinkle crumbs on top; bake at 350° for 50 minutes in a 9 x 13-inch pan.
