  • 1 loaf unsliced bread
  • 1 beef steak or beef roast the size of loaf of bread
  • 1 1/2 lb mushrooms
  • 1/4 cup red wine
  • 1 stick butter(dont substitute)
  • 1 onion sliced
  • 1 salt pepper and garlic to taste

    take loaf of bread cut 1 heel off carefully hollow out the loaf leaving sides and remaining heel intact.

    I butterflied the roast

    in a large cast iron pan or any pan, sear beef on all sides reduce heat let cook turn as needed cook to your desired doneness.

    in same pan as cooked beef and, beef set aside to rest.

    add mushrooms and onions.

    use a quarter of butter to glaze on the beef.

    and add rest to onions and mushrooms.

    add Wine to pan let reduce.

    take bread stuffing and, put in pan soaking up left over juices stuff beef into loaf along with mushrooms onions and bread.

    put end back on loaf wrap with food wrap, and add a lot of weight on top squishing whole loaf.

    after an hour minimum remove weight slice and serve.
