- 2 c. soft butter
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 c. walnut pieces
- 2 tsp. vanilla
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 4 c. sifted flour
Directions

1Preheat oven to 325°.

2Grind walnuts into a coarse meal. Cream butter and sugar.

3Blend with walnuts.

4Add rest of ingredients, mixing well.

5Spoon dough onto lightly greased jelly roll pan (15 1/2 x 10 1/2 x 1-inch).

6Smooth out to fill pan evenly.

7Bake 40 to 45 minutes until lightly browned.

8Cool in pan.

9Cut into bars.

10Makes 75 bars (1 x 2-inches).
