- 2 c. sifted all-purpose flour
- 1/4 tsp. baking powder
- 1 c. butter or margarine
- 1/2 c. sifted powdered sugar
- 1/2 c. finely chopped Diamond walnuts
- Diamond walnut halves and large pieces (for decorating)
Directions

1Re-sift flour with baking powder.

2Cream butter with sugar until light and fluffy.

3Gradually blend in flour mixture.

4Stir in finely chopped walnuts.

5Cover and chill.

6Roll out on light floured board to 1/4-inch thickness.

7Cut into desired shapes. Place on ungreased cookie sheets.

8Press a walnut half or piece on each cookie.

9Bake at 300° for about 20 minutes until edges are very lightly browned.

10Cool on wire racks.

11Makes 2 to 2 1/2 dozen cookies.
