- 1 c. of butter (softened)
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 2-1/2 c. sifted all purpose flour
Directions

1In large bowl, with electric mixer on medium, beat butter with sugar until light and fluffy.

2Stir in flour until smooth and well combined.

3(Dough will be stiff.)

4Divide dough into two parts and refrigerate for several hours.

5Preheat oven to 300 degrees.

6On lightly floured surface, roll out one part at a time to 1/3 inch thickness.

7Using any shape cookie cutters, cut out cookies.

8Place 1 inch apart on ungreased cookie sheet.

9Bake cookies for 25 minutes or until light golden.

10Remove to wire rack to cool.
