- 1 chinese turnip, grated
- 12 cup soy sauce
- 1 cup water
- 1 12 teaspoons sugar
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 12 cup flour
- 12 cup cornstarch
- 12 cup water
- 14 teaspoon salt
Directions

1Mix eggs, flour, cornstarch, 1/2 cup water, and salt.

2Boil soy sauce, 1 cup water, and sugar for 5 minutes.

3Dip shrimp into batter and fry in deep fat until golden brown.

4Drain on paper towels.

5Add grated turnip to sauce.

6Serve tempura on bed of lettuce leaves.
