Ingredients
- 1 can peeled tomatoes
- 1/2 c. sliced celery
- 1/4 c. thin strips green pepper
- 1/4 c. minced onion
- 3 Tbsp. butter or shortening
- 1 lb. shrimp, cleaned
- 1 tsp. sugar
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- pepper
- bay leaf
- 1 small sprig parsley
- 1/4 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 1 1/2 c. cooked rice
Directions

1Drain tomatoes, measuring liquid.

2Add water to liquid to make 1 1/3 cups.

3Brown celery, green pepper and onion in butter.

4Add shrimp; cook until pink.

5Add liquid, tomatoes, sugar, salt, pepper, bay leaf, parsley and Worcestershire sauce.

6Cover; simmer for 3 to 5 minutes.

7Stir in rice.

8Cover; simmer 5 minutes more. Remove bay leaf and parsley.

9Serve hot.
