- 3/4 c. chopped onion (medium)
- 1 clove garlic, pressed or minced
- 1 medium green pepper, finely chopped
- 1/2 c. finely chopped celery
- 2 Tbsp. butter
- 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
- 1/2 c. water
- 1 bay leaf, crushed
- 1 tsp. minced fresh parsley
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- scant 1/8 tsp. cayenne pepper
- 1 (7 oz.) pkg. frozen shrimp, thawed
Directions

1Simmer ingredients (except shrimp) for about 30 minutes.

2Add shrimp and simmer another 5 to 7 minutes.

3Serve on fluffy white rice.
