Ingredients
- 1/2 c. chopped onions
- 1/2 c. chopped celery
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 3 Tbsp. salad oil
- 12 oz. raw shrimp, cleaned and deveined
- 1/2 c. chopped green pepper
- 1 can tomatoes
- 1 can seasoned tomato sauce
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. sugar
- 1/2 to 1 tsp. chili powder
- 1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
Directions

1In hot oil, cook onions, celery and garlic until tender, but not brown.

2Add tomatoes, tomato sauce, salt, sugar, chili powder and Worcestershire sauce.

3Simmer for 45 minutes; thicken with cornstarch.

4Add shrimp and green pepper.

5Cover and simmer until done, about 5 minutes.

6Serve with rice.
