Ingredients

  • 4 large onions, chopped
  • 1 medium bell pepper, chopped
  • 4 stalks celery, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, chopped
  • 1 large can whole tomatoes
  • 1 glass water
  • 2 tsp. prepared mustard
  • 1 bay leaf, crushed
  • 2 lb. shrimp, cut up
  • 1 small can tomato sauce
  • 2 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp. chili powder
  • 2 Tbsp. vinegar
  • salt and pepper to taste

Directions

    Combine first 4 ingredients in frying pan with enough cooking oil to cover.

    Simmer over low fire until clear.

    Combine rest of ingredients; start to simmer on low heat with lid on.

    After first mixture is completed, add to mixture but drain part of oil. Simmer for approximately 1 1/2 hours.

    Serve over rice.
