Ingredients

  • 3 lbs peeled shrimp
  • 8 tbsp butter
  • 8 tbsp flour
  • 1 14-16 oz can tomato sauce
  • 1 c parsely, chopped
  • 1 tbsp thyme
  • 1/2 tsp basil
  • 3 bay leaves
  • 3 c chicken stock
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp chopped garlic
  • 1 c chopped green onion
  • 4 thin lemon slices
  • Joe's stuff seasoning or any creaol seasoning blend
  • Cooked rice
  • Trinity = 2 c chopped onion, 1 c chopped celery, 1 c chopped green pepper

Directions

    1. Saute shrimp in butter for 2 -3 mins then remove. Add flour and stir over MH heat unitl lighlty browned.

    2. Add trinity and garlic and saute until onions are transparent. Add remaining ingredients except green onions, parsely and shrimp. Simmer 15 mins.

    3. Add in remaining ingredients during last 5 mins. Serve over rice.
