  • 8 egg whites
  • fine salt
  • 2 cups flour
  • 7 1/8 tablespoons margarine
  • 1 1/4 cups sugar
  • sugar for sprinkling
  • cinnamon for sprinkling

    Preheat oven to 180 degrees Celsius.

    Grease a bundt pan with butter, and sprinkle with flour. Set aside.

    Beat the egg whites with a pinch of salt until firm. Set aside.

    Slightly soften the margarine in a microwave (not required if it is at room temperature), and beat together with sugar until creamy. To this mixture, add the flour and egg whites, little by little and without beating. Mix well, from the bottom up, until the batter is completely smooth and homogeneous.

    Place the dough in the cake pan, and sprinkle with white sugar and cinnamon to taste.

    Bake for 25 to 30 minutes. Check cooking with a toothpick.

    Remove from oven, unmold, and let cool.
