Silver Sweet Quiche

  • pastry for (10-inch) pie shell
  • 1 (16 oz.) pkg. silver sweet white sweet corn
  • 1 1/2 c. grated Swiss cheese
  • 5 eggs
  • 1 1/2 c. light cream
  • 1 tsp. minced onion
  • 1 tsp. seasoned salt (optional)
  • 1/8 tsp. pepper
  • 6 strips cooked bacon, crumbled

Directions

    Line pie or quiche dish with pastry.

    Cook white sweet corn according to package directions; drain.

    Place in bottom of pastry. Sprinkle cheese over corn.

    Beat eggs, cream, onion and seasonings together and pour over corn-cheese mixture.

    Sprinkle bacon over top.

    Bake 25 minutes at 400°.

    Reduce heat to 350° and bake an additional 20 minutes.

    Serve immediately.
