Simmered Flounder Fish

  • 3 pieces Flounder fish
  • 150 ml Water
  • 2 tbsp Sugar
  • 2 tbsp Sake
  • 2 tbsp Mirin
  • 3 tbsp Soy sauce
  • 5 slice Thinly sliced ginger

Directions

    Put the water and seasonings in a saucepan and bring to the boil.

    Turn the heat to medium, and add the fish and ginger slices.

    Cover with a sheet of aluminium foil so it fits right over the fish (as a drop-lid).

    Let it simmer for 15-20 minutes so all the flavours blend.

    Transfer to serving plates and enjoy.
