- 6 eggs
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 4 c. milk
- 1 c. heavy cream
- nutmeg
Directions

1Using an electric mixer or whisk, beat eggs with sugar until light and thoroughly combined.

2Beat in 2 cups of milk.

3Cook the mixture, stirring constantly, until it reaches 170° on candy thermometer

4and thickens slightly.

5Remove custard from the heat and stir in 2 more cups of milk.

6Chill the mixture thoroughly.

7Whip the heavy cream and fold the whipped cream into the chilled egg and milk mixture.

8Serve sprinkled with nutmeg.
