Simple Fruit Cake

- 2 sticks butter and margarine
- 1 c. sugar
- 5 eggs
- 1 lb. candied cherries
- 1 lb. candied pineapple
- 4 c. chopped pecans
- 1 box raisins
- 1 (1 oz.) bottle vanilla flavoring
- 1 (1 oz.) bottle lemon flavoring
- 1 3/4 c. plain flour
- 1/2 tsp. baking powder
Directions

1Cream together butter, sugar and eggs.

2Mix flour and baking powder, use 1/2 flour to dredge fruit.

3Mix rest of flour in egg, butter and sugar.

4Mix fruit and nuts to frost.

5Bake in tube pan. Only takes 30 minutes at 300°, then turn down to 250° for 1 1/2 hours.

6Cool in pan, upside down.

7Makes 2 small fruit cakes.
