  • 12 to 16 fresh spot fillets
  • butter
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • paprika

Directions

    Arrange fillets on smoker grill.

    To each, apply pat of butter or margarine.

    Add salt, pepper and paprika (for color).

    To coals, add hickory or mesquite chips according to smoker directions.

    Cook slowly for 15 to 18 minutes or until slightly golden in color.

    Serve with hush puppies, salad and corn.
