Smoothy Chocolate Cookies

  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 2-1/4 cup flour
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1 pkg. (11-1/2 oz.) chocolate chips
  • 1 cup chopped walnuts

Directions

    Place chocolate chips into a freezer until very firm.

    Place frozen chocolate chips and chopped walnuts into an electric blender or food processor and chop very briefly.

    Beat butter, sugars, eggs and vanilla in a large bowl with and electric mixer on medium speed until light and fluffy.

    Mix in flour, baking soda and salt.

    Stir in chip and nut mixture.

    Drop by teaspoons 2 inches apart onto ungreased cookie sheets.

    Bake in a preheated 375F oven for 10 minutes or until golden brown.

    Cool.
