- 1/3 c. all-purpose flour
- 1/4 tsp. paprika
- salt and pepper to taste
- 2 1/2 to 3 lb. broiler-fryer chicken
- 1/4 c. vegetable oil
- 1 1/2 c. water
- 1 small onion, sliced
Directions

1Combine flour, salt, pepper and paprika.

2Coat chicken with flour mixture.

3Heat oil in a large, heavy skillet.

4Brown chicken on all sides.

5Remove from skillet.

6Brown remaining flour mixture in oil until golden brown, stirring constantly.

7Slowly stir in water.

8Return chicken to skillet; add onion.

9Cover and cook over low heat until done, about 25 to 35 minutes.

10Makes 4 to 6 servings.
