- 1 (11 1/2 oz.) pkg. milk chocolate chips
- 2 Tbsp. vegetable shortening
- 1 (14 oz.) pkg. Kraft caramels
- 2 Tbsp. water
- 5 Tbsp. butter
- 1 c. chopped nuts
Directions

1Melt chips and shortening over hot water.

2Pour 1/2 of mixture into an 8-inch foil lined pan.

3Refrigerate for 15 minutes.

4Combine caramels, butter and water in pan and melt over boiling water until smooth.

5Add nuts and spread over chocolate mixture in the 8-inch pan.

6Refrigerate (about 15 minutes). Return remaining chocolate to heat until smooth again.

7Spread caramel mixture and refrigerate.
