  • 1 (11 1/2 oz.) pkg. milk chocolate chips
  • 2 Tbsp. vegetable shortening
  • 1 (14 oz.) pkg. Kraft caramels
  • 2 Tbsp. water
  • 5 Tbsp. butter
  • 1 c. chopped nuts

Directions

    Melt chips and shortening over hot water.

    Pour 1/2 of mixture into an 8-inch foil lined pan.

    Refrigerate for 15 minutes.

    Combine caramels, butter and water in pan and melt over boiling water until smooth.

    Add nuts and spread over chocolate mixture in the 8-inch pan.

    Refrigerate (about 15 minutes). Return remaining chocolate to heat until smooth again.

    Spread caramel mixture and refrigerate.
