- 1 c. shortening
- 2 eggs
- 2 tsp. cream of tartar
- 1 tsp. soda
- 4 tsp. sugar
- 1 1/2 c. sugar
- 2 3/4 c. all-purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
- 4 tsp. ground cinnamon and butter
Directions

1Cream the shortening and 1 1/2 cup sugar and eggs until fluffy, combine cream of tartar, salt and soda.

2Stir into creamed mixture, stir in vanilla.

3Shape into balls.

4Combine remaining sugar and cinnamon, mixing well.

5Roll each ball in mixture.

6Place on ungreased cookie sheet, flatten with fork.

7Bake 400° for 8 minutes.
