- 1 c. margarine, softened
- 1 1/2 c. sugar
- 2 eggs
- 2 3/4 c. flour, sifted
- 2 tsp. cream of tartar
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 2 Tbsp. sugar
- 2 tsp. cinnamon
Directions

1Mix thoroughly margarine and 1 1/2 cup sugar.

2Sift dry ingredients together and beat in creamed mixture.

3Roll in balls the size of small walnuts.

4Roll in a mixture of 2 Tbsp. sugar and cinnamon.

5Place 2 inches apart on ungreased baking sheet.

6Bake until lightly browned, but still soft.

7These cookies puff up at first, then flatten out.

8Heat oven to 400 degrees and bake for 8 - 10 minutes.

9Makes about 5 dozen cookies.
