Ingredients
- 1 stick margarine
- 3/4 c. sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 1/4 c. plus 2 Tbsp. flour
- 1/2 tsp. baking soda
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. cream of tartar
- 1 Tbsp. sugar, combined with 1 tsp. cinnamon
Directions

1Put into a big bowl and mix margarine, sugar and egg.

2Put into another bowl flour, baking soda, salt and cream of tartar. Add flour mixture to first bowl.

3Mix well.

4Dough should be soft and easy to handle.

5Add 1 tablespoon of flour if dough is too sticky.

6Combine in a small dish and set aside sugar-cinnamon combination.

7Roll dough into balls the size of a walnut.

8Roll in sugar-cinnamon mixture.

9Place on ungreased cookie sheet.

10Bake 8 to 10 minutes at 400°.

11Cookies should be soft and puffy.

12Cool on rack.

13Makes 3 dozen.
