- 2 tsp Cream of Tartar
- 1 tsp Baking Soda
- 1 tsp Salt
- 2 2/3 cup Flour
- 1 cup Shortening
- 1 1/2 cup Sugar
- 2 Eggs
- 1 Cinnamon Sugar
Directions

1Preheat oven to 350F.

2Measure flour, cream of tartar, baking soda, and salt in a sifter.

3Sift, and set aside.

4Mix shortening, sugar, and egg together with an electric mixer until creamy.

5Slowly mix in the dry ingredients to the wet.

6Small amounts at a time.

7Stir until blended.

8Roll dough into walnut sized balls and roll in cinnamon sugar.

9Place on ungreased cookiesheet about 2 inches apart.

10Bake for 8 to 10 minutes.

11Cookies are done when the edges of the cookies just slightly begin to gain color.

12Cracks will form with small bubbles popping.

13You do not want a golden color.
