- 1 tall can evaporated milk with 1/4 c. water
- 1/3 c. sugar
- 1 tsp. cornstarch
- 1/8 tsp. salt
- 1/8 tsp. almond extract
- 3 eggs, separated
- 3 Tbsp. angelica wine
- 1 (No. 2 1/2) can peaches
- 6 Tbsp. confectioners sugar
Directions

1Scald diluted evaporated milk in double boiler.

2Mix sugar, cornstarch, salt and beaten egg yolks. Add to milk and cook, stirring constantly, until mixture coats spoon.

3Remove at once; cool and add wine.

4Pour custard into sherbet glasses. Add peaches and top with meringue made by beating egg whites with confectioners sugar and almond extract.

5Serves 6.
