  • 1/2 c. butter or margarine
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1 egg, slightly beaten
  • 1 c. chopped dates
  • 1/2 c. chopped walnuts
  • 1/2 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 c. Rice Krispies
  • coconut

Directions

    Mix butter, sugar, egg and dates.

    Place in saucepan; cook for 10 minutes on low heat, stirring constantly.

    Take from heat.

    Add Rice Krispies, nuts and vanilla.
  5. 5
    Form into balls about the size of a walnut, then roll in shredded coconut.

    Chill in refrigerator.

    Keep in covered jar in refrigerator.
