- 1/2 c. butter or margarine
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 egg, slightly beaten
- 1 c. chopped dates
- 1/2 c. chopped walnuts
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- 2 c. Rice Krispies
- coconut
Directions

1Mix butter, sugar, egg and dates.

2Place in saucepan; cook for 10 minutes on low heat, stirring constantly.

3Take from heat.

4Add Rice Krispies, nuts and vanilla.

5Form into balls about the size of a walnut, then roll in shredded coconut.

6Chill in refrigerator.

7Keep in covered jar in refrigerator.
